Marzia Cosmi, of italian nationality, obtained her B. Sc. Degree in Science and Technology for the Environment and Nature with biological curriculum in 2015 and her M. Sc. Degree in Medical Biotechnology with Nanobiotechnology curriculum in 2018 at the University of Trieste (Italy). Since January 2021 is part of the scientific team of Healthsens S.L.
She carried on her curricular traineeship as part of the project Erasmus + at the department of Analytical Chemistry of the University of Alcalá (Spain), during which she worked on Raman and Infrared spectroscopy and her research project has been presented during the XXXVI Biennial Meeting of the Royal Spanish Society of Chemistry.
After the M. Sc. she was involved in a research project at the Immunology and Molecular Pathology (Biomedicine) laboratory of the University of Trieste (Italy) and later on, she attended a Summer School at the University of Pisa (Italy) titled: “From genes to cells: a basic course on molecular, cellular and ultrastructural biology”.
In 2019, she was awarded a European geographic mobility grant that allowed her to work in Sweden at a company that deals with nanoparticles with fluorescent properties for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
In 2020 she returned permanently to Spain, where, before starting in Healthsens, she dealt with the study and characterization of nanoparticles deriving from dental implants through mass spectrometry at the University of Oviedo.
