Laura González-Molero

A professional passionate about leading the development of high-performance teams with the goal of generating maximum value for shareholders, company, employees and society.

Holds a Degree in Pharmacy from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, specialized in Industry, and an Executive MBA from the IE Business School, 1999.

Laura has more than 25 years of experience working in large international corporations in the Health Care and Chemical sectors, as well as being a part of several Boards of Directors since 2008.

Laura is President of the APD and is an independent advisor of several listed companies, three of them part of the selective Ibex-35 group: Bankia S.A, Acerinox S.A., Viscofan S.A., Ezentis S.A.; and to Calidad Pascual S.L. until July 2016.  These experiences have allowed her to develop an in-depth knowledge of sectors such as Infrastructure, Industry, Finance and High Consumption in listed and unlisted companies with activity not only at a national level in Spain but also on an international scale. Moreover, Laura has extensive experience in Appointments, Remuneration, Auditing and Corporate Social Responsibility, as accounted for her being a member and President of multiple Committees in this area. She is also a member of the Advisory Board of ISS Iberia.

In addition, she is an advisor of the Advisory Board of Healthsens Biomedical Research, a member of the PwC Counselors Club, of the WCD (Woman Corporate Directors), and of the I-CA.

Until December 2016 she was the President of Bayer HealthCare in Latin America, based in the United States, where she successfully carried out a process of transforming the business model.

Her aforementioned experience in the market as well as her continued pursuit of excellence in prestigious business schools such as IE, Kelloggs, IMD, INSEAD and Harvard Business School have made her a recognized leader in the sector and an expert in strategy and transformation of retail and biotech businesses, as well as in Corporate Governance in Europe and Latin America.

She began her professional career in 1989 in the pharmaceutical company Roche, in the commercial department and increased her responsibilities up to the point of reaching the position of Commercial Director for Spain and Portugal. In 1996 she joined Laboratorios Guerbet as CEO, establishing the company in Spain to develop its business in this new region for the group.

Throughout her career, Laura has undertaken various roles with high responsibility in Schering Plough and the biotech Serono where she achieved the responsibility of leading the company in Southern and Northern Europe.

One of the greatest achievements in her career was to successfully lead an integration process of the German group Merck with Serono in 2007, becoming the new CEO of the Merck Group in Spain. In December 2011 she was promoted to

the position of President of Merck Latin America, based in Brazil, tasked with successfully developing the business from Mexico to Patagonia.
